The Authority continues to deliver hands-on fire safety training sessions, equipping healthcare personnel with essential skills in fire prevention, emergency response, and evacuation procedures. This ongoing initiative ensures that, even in high-demand healthcare environments, the safety of staff, patients, and the wider community remains a top priority.
The program was initially rolled out in Upolu, covering key areas including:
- EPI
- Public Health
- TTM Cohort 1
Building on its success, the initiative is now being expanded to all rural hospitals across the island of Savai‘i including Malietoa Tanumafili II Hospital at Tuasivi, further strengthening safety standards nationwide.
